Conventional Coil Spring and Gas Shock Suspension Package

This is one of our two ‘’complete conversion’’ kits. This will supply you with all parts and hardware needed to completely convert your vehicle from the existing O.E. suspension to the late model rack and pinion. This swap will greatly improve handling, braking, and will help solve clearance issues associated with installing larger V-8 engines into these shock tower vehicles. All that is left for you to supply is a disc brake master cylinder and the correct style (rear sump) oil pan. Everything else needed to complete this conversion is included in this package.

At Rod & Custom we use Autodesk CAD programs, both 2d and 3d/solid modeling.  FEA  (Finite Element Analysis) is also employed to assure our design is strong and safe.

This kit is not to be confused with our RC-107 adjustable ride height coil over kit that would be considered a more modern style of kit wherein you have the option to employ single or double adjustable coil over shocks to firm up or soften the rebound and or compression depending on which type shock you purchase (single or double adjustment). The RC-106 kit should be considered as a more modernized version of the suspension that comes on the original car as the use of a spring and gas shock are still used and are non adjustable in that aspect. While you can’t adjust the ride height in the two ways that are available on the RC-107 kit there is one way to lower the RC-106 kit vehicle with the use of a 2″ drop spindle. sd

Choosing the right hand option will require a right hand drive rack which has to be special ordered and is the reason for the additional cost along with the special right hand drive x-member the will have to be fabricated.

Two complete tie rod ends.
Complete engine mount set for small-block Ford or Chevy. Includes Ford 351W, 351C, 429-460, and FE -390-427-428.
Includes 1’’ powder coated sway bar with mounting brackets, mounting hardware, end links, Prothane bushings, and fasteners.

Left and right tower replacement panels.
New steering hook-up kit. Includes rack joint, column joint, and the  rack to column shaft, along with the column modification kit for the O.E. column users.
Springs and shocks rated to your application. Upgrade would include chrome springs and polished shocks. See related items.

Please note: Due to the front steer design of the MII front suspensions, the MII conversion will require the use of a rear sump pan. If you need help locating the correct pan for your swap give us a call!
